VELUX Commercial has established a unique collaboration with AGC Glass Europe for the renovation of the iconic Victor Boin swimming pool in Saint-Gilles, Brussels. This historic swimming pool, an architectural heritage from the art deco period, is undergoing a sustainable transformation in which innovative materials are being applied.
A key role in this project is played by FINEO vacuum glazing, a revolutionary product from AGC Glass Europe. This ultra-thin, highly insulating glazing offers the thermal performance of triple glazing while preserving the building's original appearance. With a thickness of just 7.7 mm, it is the ideal solution for renovations where aesthetics and energy efficiency are essential.
FINEO is produced in Belgium and is the only vacuum glazing to carry the CE mark, guaranteeing the highest standards of quality and performance in Europe.
This collaboration marks the first time that VELUX Commercial has applied this type of glass in a project. As a result, the Victor Boin swimming pool is not only prepared for a sustainable future, but also retains its historic charm.
