The Politecnico di Milano is the city's oldest university. As this historic building is managed by the Institute of Fine Arts, its iron windows dating from the early 20th century could not be replaced. That's why FINEO was chosen to renovate the rector's office: thanks to the thinness of its glazing, it was possible to preserve the frames while drastically improving the thermal and acoustic insulation performance for greater comfort.

For this project, FINEO Hybrid was used to reach unprecedent performances in terms of thermal insulation and acoustic. Belliard street is a highly frequented road, leading to unpleasant noise pollution. Thanks to FINEO Hybrid, it was possible to achieve very high acoustical attenuation in a limited thickness, allowing to increase the space inside the building.

In order to improve its energy efficiency and comfort, 850 m² of FINEO 10mm ‘Heritage Classic’ glazing on extra-clear glass (clearvision) was installed at Bromma Stockholm Airport. Thanks to FINEO, the original steel frame has been preserved. The Heritage version, with its old-fashioned stretched glass, has preserved the visual aesthetics and historical cachet of this imposing building.
